Speaker announcement video template

A 26-second speaker announcement: a foil pack tears open and a gold-bordered trading card flips out with the speaker's cut-out photo, name, talk, day, time and stage, in your event's own logo and colours. One speaker per film.

About the speaker announcement card template

This template is the post an event makes for each of its speakers, one at a time. It was first made for a featured speaker at Web Summit 2026, and it runs 26 seconds to music, with no narrator: a foil pack in the event's colours tears open; a card shoots out face down, spins and lands face up with a shine across it; the camera reads it from the photo down to the talk; the card tilts with a few sparks; and it drops into one slot of a binder page of face-down cards, over the event's logo, dates, city and link.

The card is the whole idea. It carries the speaker's photo cut out of its background, the name set large, the role and company with the company's logo as the card's emblem, the talk's title in a box of its own, the track as the card's type, and a line with the day, the time and the stage. A featured or keynote speaker gets a gold border when the event itself calls them that.

It is an example, not a form. Tell Claude in a sentence who is speaking and where: the speaker's name and the event are enough. Attach the speaker's photo and the company's logo if you have them. Claude reads what you write and anything you attach, finds the rest itself on the event's own site when it needs to (the session's title, day, time and stage, the event's logo and colours) and remakes the film. Every frame is drawn again and fitted to your content, so a long name, a three-line talk title and a name in another alphabet all lay out.

Nothing is made up. A fact Claude cannot find is left off the card: with no time or stage published yet, the line shows the day alone; with no talk title, the card closes up without it. A photo is the speaker's own or there is none, and then their initials stand in the card's window. Logos are drawn exactly as their files draw them. The look is your event's brand, never a costume taken from its name.

The film comes square (1:1) for feeds, wide (16:9) with the card on the left and the talk beside it, and vertical (9:16) for Stories and Reels: choose the frame before you make it. One film is one speaker, so an event with forty speakers makes forty, and a speaker or their company can make their own for any stage they are on.

A film from this template uses about 26 credits, its 26 seconds, and is ready in about 10 minutes once its turn comes; you can close the page, and an email tells you when it is done. Films on the Free plan carry KitCut's small mark in a corner. Every film gets its own page and link to share, and you can publish it to your YouTube channel from there.

Questions

What do I need to make a speaker announcement video?

One sentence: who is speaking and at which event. Attach the speaker's photo and their company's logo if you have them; Claude finds the session's title, day, time and stage on the event's site.

Can I make one for every speaker at my event?

Yes. One film is one speaker, and each takes about 10 minutes. Make it again with the next speaker's name and photo; the event's look stays the same.

What if the schedule is not published yet?

Then the card shows what is known: the speaker, their role and company and the event's dates. Claude never invents a time, a stage or a talk title. Make it again when the schedule is out.

Does it need a photo?

No. With a photo, the speaker is cut out of its background and set in the card's window. Without one, their initials stand there in the event's colours. A photo of someone else is never used.

Which sizes does it come in?

Square 1:1, wide 16:9 and vertical 9:16. Choose the frame on the template's page before you make the film; each one is laid out for its shape, not cropped.

How long does it take, and how many credits does it use?

About 10 minutes once its turn comes; you can close the page, and an email tells you when it is ready. It uses about 26 credits, its 26 seconds.
