Limits
Every number on this page comes from KitCut's code when the docs are built. The same numbers are at limits.json, for programs.
On Free, a month's credits (30) make one film of up to 30 seconds; the longest Free film (1 minute) needs bonus credits.

By film length
What a film of each length gets while it is made:
- Claude's working time. Waiting in the queue does not count against it.
- The most paintings a painted film may use, repaints included.
- The most narration sentences.

What happens at a limit
| Limit reached | What the person sees |

| Film longer than the plan allows | The length can't be picked; the slider's track is locked past the plan's longest film. Through an assistant: "Films on this plan can be up to …". |
| Not enough credits | "Not enough credits" on the button; the film is not started and nothing is taken. |
| A film is already being made | The new film is refused until the first is finished. |
| 5 films today | New films are refused until the next day. |
| Too many films waiting | "The queue is full"; try again in a few minutes. |
| The day's capacity is used | "The studio has made all the films it can today"; try again tomorrow. No credits are taken. |
| Idea too long | The page shows how many characters to cut. |
| More than 6 pictures or 3 voice notes | The buttons stop adding more. |
| A voice note reaches 3:00 | Recording stops and the note is attached. |
